AMG Wheels & Brake System
Does anyone know if MB makes the split spoke AMG wheels that are on the C32's in 18 inch? If so how could I obtain a set?
Also I have read info about purchasing a factory AMG brake system, would anyone have any info and/or pricing specs for that?
Thanks in advance,
Matt

Matt, I just ordered those wheels today. Take a look at the 'future models' section of mbusa.com and click on the CLK55, you will see them there. Go to www.statusimports.com and take a look, they carry the 18x7.5 and 18x8.5 for the W203 or W209. It will however be a 5 week special order, not a quick deal.
Sorry dont know about brakes -

I think you can go 8.5 on the rear... but I didnt because it would require 255/35 which I could not get Pilot Sports in, and I just didnt want to have all of hassles of a staggered setup.

Well, a 255/35 tire is about $30 more than a 225/40 tire, and the tires cannot be rotated because the rears wont fit the fronts and vice-versa.

As far as the brakes, I priced them from a Carlsbad CA dealer - search forum for wholesale and you'll get their names (trying to keep it professional y'all).
Anyhow, 2 calipers, 2 rotors and 2 pads - ~$650 plus shipping.
17" wheel size required -- offset 37 and dish is in debate. I can't afford to do it right now so will be waiting until spring - at that time I'll let everyone know if the C7 wheel fits as well as the amg split spoke 17.

I love my 17" Split spoke wheels - I did get the staggered set up. I sort of wished I waited for the 18's. I don't know if I would have gotten the staggered set up with the 18's though. Like AndrewK said - I think the extra cost is not really worth it and I don't think you will get much more benefit from a staggered set-up. Unless you want it for looks only. Our cars do not create that much HP to warrant the wider rear tires, IMO. You can also argue the handling benefits, but how much does it really add?

I love the way my staggered AMG ultra-thin spoke's (203's) look. Combined with the stiffer rear bias AMG sway bars, I can even get the rear end out with the 245's on 8.5 rims.
I run directional Kuhmo 712's so there is absolutely no rotating tires. Each one is assigned to a corner of the car for life!
