fault light sensor

i have a 2002 c240, can the sensor that detects when a headlight or a brake light is out be taken out..? or bypassed..? i would like to know cus im going to upgrade to HIDs.. i recently bought LED license plate lights but i cant even use them because the sensors detect less wattage and they just blink.. i put LEDs on my break lights but those work and the only problem was the BREAK LIGHT FAULT in the menu screen.. i would like to have that removed, can anywone help me..?

No, because it's rightly a safety feature.

Several of us have installed aftermarket bulbs without triggering the error message.

The search function (use advanced, W203) will yield the solutions you seek.

hmmm.... LED lights huh ? nice concept !

just a hunch here, but why don't you try searching to see how other MBWorlders have managed to successfully & unsuccessfully carry out LED change-overs.
