About 0.5% of the population NEEDS an off-road vehicle. If you're one of them, get a Unimog, old Land Rover or Lada Niva. If you're not one of them, please DON'T BUY AN SUV!

2001 C240
Before C-class

When I was 16 yrs old my first car was a 1995 325is BMW, wrecked that on the 405 freeway, used insurance money and purchased a 1999 2.8 A4 quattro. Now I am 23yrs old and have bought a C240. So far I have enjoyed the Mercedes very much.

First I drove a Chevy Lumina, which we called The Battle Van or Hit Me Please. A few vacations have had from The Battle Van, if you know what I mean. Haha.
Then I drove A MB 560SL. Which is for sale by the way. It runs great. Interested anyone? (This was NOT a Battle Mobile)
But now I'm a very happy coupe owner.

BTW: Anaheim Angels SUCK!! Hehehe

Sure, what size? Maybe a deal is possible since my car is sitting on the STEALER's lot and he is now backing off the written trade-in figure he gave me. I guess the STEALER figured that once my MB is on the lot he can redo the deal. Thankfully he hasn't gotten any of my money yet.

C230K Sports Coupe
Prior to my C230, I drove a 1998 Subaru Legacy Outback that I racked up 118,000 miles on in four years. IMHO, perhaps one of the world's most boring cars. Going from the Subie to the M-B was a quantum leap in fun and status, though a major drop in practicality. Still, I don't care because I love the reaction the M-B gets from almost everyone. The only thing I miss is being able to toss my bike in the back without giving a s*** about what got banged up or dirty.

Right on! Almost got a 9-3. Glad I got the benz instead.

My previous vehicle was a '91 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2-door 5-speed manual with offroad package. Only offroading I ever did was in Chappaquiddick, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts (no, not THAT kind of off-roading Teddy Kennedy did when he drove off that bridge ). Good riddance. Only time I'm gonna miss it will be the next blizzard up north-east. That thing was unbeatable in the white stuff! Always a parking spot in Manhattan - on top of a snowpile. 4WD-LO is ferocious in that vehicle!

Yeah, I actually test drove a 9-3 Viggen before I made my decision on the C230K. The Viggen was pretty fast, but it just didn't impress me as much as I thought it would. The C230K is just a more solid car IMO.

I was driving a '91 Honda Accord 175,000 mileage all through college. I thought I'd never get a NEW car. to my surprise, after graduation, last June '2002, my parents gave me the coupe as a graduation present. NICE, right!

I told people the same thing here and they didn't take it very well. I got the c230 as a token of appreciating from my parents after graduating HS last June of 02' (i actually got it in May). I try to pay the lease as often as I can. I pay for gas and any other expenses ALL the time. In all fairness, the lease is not that expensive and anyone with a decent job can pay it off monthly.

Congrats Chic, I won't hate.

I'm getting my coupe in April, but right now I'm still stuck with my 1998 VW Beetle. It sucks. It's a tin can on wheels. A shopping cart, if you will. :p

Don't get me wrong, it was my first car and it has served me alright, it can be kind of fun at times, but I'm ready to grow up a bit. Not to mention that I'd like some actual POWER every now and then, and a lot more safety features - my Beetle doesn't even have anti-lock brakes!

The True OG Modded out W203
I had a '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST Spyder w/tan leather and like a candy purple exterior. And I also had at the same time a '01 Toyota Highlander V6 Limited which btw is a very good car if you are looking for a suv. But I do sorely miss my spyder. It was souped up w/rims, intercooler, blow off valve(which is the coolest) etc, etc. But when kids come along one must sacrifice their unnecessary toys...sob But hey I got a Mercedes out of it!

Talking

just got my C230 Coupe 6 days ago and love it!!! Previous car was a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe...not a bad car but not my choice, dealer owed me a new car due to screwing up my first civic so bad after taking it in for repairs after an accident.
