Anybody have a cup that actually fits in the C-Class cupholder
#27
Somehow I think its hilarious how important the cupholder is for US people. It reminds of the movie "Bad Boyz":
- Wheres your cupholders?
- I dont have one
- What do you mean you have one? 80 000 dollars for this car and You aint got no damn cupholder?
- Its a 105 000 dollar car. This happens to be one of the fastest production cars on the planet.... limited edition
- You damn right its limited. No cupholders, no backseat. Just a shiny dick with 2 chairs in it.
I like the American way of living though, and I have ordered a cupholder for my car
. But I guess drinking coffee on the Autobahn is a NO-NO

Went to the car show today and saw some interesting cup holders. On the Jetta the cupholders pops out of the dash right above the radio. I guess they figure you won't want to use the radio/cd while drinking beer. The Audi A4 wasn't much better but at least you can stick a CD if you are nimble enough. BMW 3 Series takes the cake, a cup holder blocked by the arm rest. I guess they figure why would you have your drink arm in an at rest position. I think the C has one of the better cup holders in terms of position. Some had cup holders so far away you would have to undo your seatbelt to reach your beer.

The one I have isn't any of those listed on the link. It's still a Thermos brand, but in 8 ounce size. The smaller size isn't top heavy, which I thought was a better idea to avoid potential spillage from a larger size that could potentially tip over and fall out of the cup holder.
I got it at the dealer for $20. Although, on MBUSA.com it's now $32. Part number A9509992105. I'm sure the same mug without the MB logo is available elsewhere for less.
Cheers, BT

I had to laugh when I saw this thread, because I start work at 6 am after a 30 mile drive. So I have to have my coffee in the morning. I went to every coffee house and store that sold mugs and bottles. Spent a full week looking.
Finally went to Starbucks and bought their $28 coffee thermos that is 2.6 inches wide, 9.5 inches high. I drink out of the thermos in the car and use the little cup whan at work.
Most importantly have not spilled a drop of coffee on my cloth seats!
