maybe you can try to buff it out as best as you can, then touchup?

Sucks to hear. They'd probably have to repaint it. If its bad you should file a poilice complaint that your car got keyed and then take that number to insurance and you pay the deductable. How big is it?

You can try a spot paint repair place. Most are mobile and basically they will sand down the damage and spray the area with color match paint... apply a clear coat and blend it in with the rest of the paint on the panel. Not sure how much it cost but its a lot less then having the whole panel repainted.

Little update . . . Had this thing in my Z06 for quite some time but changed it out for the stock one that felt a little more comfortable. So decided to put in the coupe just for kicks, boy does it make it feel more solid in between shifts. Will be getting a shift boot soon if I decide to keep it in permanently. Here's a pic:

Little update, took the car to get that M271 vent hose campaign work done a couple of days ago and picked it up the next day. That same day a check engine light came on so I took it back to the dealer to get it looked at, didn't think much about it at the time cause the car drove fine no notice in performance degradation. I get a phone call from my SA today and low and behold , the infamous oil leak into the cam sensors is the problem that arose. They had to replace some parts and have to steam clean the engine. I've heard this before with other M271 engines but never thought it would happen to me Oh well, its covered under my extended warranty and should be getting it back this Thursday. Just had to share this so the other M271 owners know that this serious problem still persists in them.

Not yet, kind of filled it in with a paint pen temporarily until I get the time to bring it in to get it fixed. Its just makes my blood boil that people just do that kind of shiz in general. Sorry to hear that

My eibach sway bars came in yesterday and will be installing em tomorrow with pics as I do it hopefully.

Little update on the seat, ordered the bracket, sliders, and tabs from recaro a month ago and they should be coming in some time next week. Have been doin some research on the sensor issue and have come up with the option of using a 1 ohm resistor to deal with the problem. When the time comes, hopefully soon ill try and explain it step by step as the installation commences

You're gonna love the sways! I knew they would make a difference in how the car handled, but I had no idea how much of a difference. Ive been eyeballing your thread for a while now hoping for updates on that seat sensor. Keep us posted

Eibach sway bars are in and MAN DO THEY MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE in handling The car has barely any noticable roll and just rails corners like a champ I instantly felt the difference rolling out of the garage, thats how much of a change they make. Anyways here are some pics from earlier on today as I was doing an install, thanks to the DIY, it was a relatively simple install.

Car all jacked up

Front sway comparison

Rear sway comparison

Crappy pic of sway on car

I would HIGHLY recommend this mod to anybody

Nothing major, maybe a little rattle but not that noticeable.

Taking a break, a little update. . .just got the bracket that I ordered months ago and I am currently trying my friggin hardest to install this Recaro, but the hard thing is trying to figure it out without any friggin instructions on how to do it With all the Recaro packaging, there are no clear instructions on how to friggin put the damn thing together. . . its really frustrating.
The sensors aren't a problem if anybody is wondering on that because all you really have to do is take all the wires and such off the stock seat and rig something up on the aftermarket, no brainer really Its just putting this damn seat bracket together that is the really a$$ kicker. Anybody on this forum have any tips??? I gotta get this thing in before Sunday for Socal Euro and this is really bumming me out.

For right now I cannot install the recaro into the car b/c of some major issues with the bracket. alot of the hardware doesn't line up with what they gave me so I may have to order more shiz Further more, I have taken apart my stock seat to point that it is far beyond my skill to put back together so im drivin on a rice bag racing chair Hopefully it should be in by next week . . . I hope
