New C240 Computer ?
A CO-Worker has a new C240. After only a week of ownership, the computer came on and said that it needed service. He took it to the dealer today to have the computer reset. The dealer said that they were going to change the oil. They ended up performing the "A" service on a car that is only 3 months old, and has only 3400 miles on it. Is that normal?

Did it say that it needed service in a certain number of miles or a certain number of days? If it said it in days, then the car was sitting on the lot for a long time and wanted service just because of the amount of time that had passed.
And since it has 3400 miles after 1 week, I guess it was a demo, so it doesn't matter how long it sat around because at least it was being driven instead of sitting.

Service Message
The computer said that you are so many days over your required service. Every day he turned on the car it added a day. Also, the car only had 89 miles upon delivery. The 3400 miles are to date!

Then it was just a car that sat on the lot for a while. Probably close to a year. But I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can look on the sticker inside the door to see what month the car was built in. As long as the car rides and drives okay, it should be fine. It's good they did the service even though it didn't have a lot of miles.
