Fun with EPC

I signed up for a 1 month subscription to the Electronic parts whatever...
EPC. I decided to find some pn's for the SLR and see what the cost would be...
how about MSRP for a front wheel.....care to guess?

How about.....$5,470.00....yeh thats one wheel, the propeller style...
and $6000 for the rear! Oh those people at Mercedes just make me laugh...such comedians! 25 grand for wheels!

I was trying to price a trailer hitch retrofit kit for the coupe
(yes it exists) but apparently the parts aren't for sale in the us.

That would be nice, and it comes apart, and the ball stows in the spare
tire area. You have to replace the bumper under the cover, and reinforce it.

Sent an email to Steve to see if he can price it....
Anyone in Europe, can you see if you can get a price on this
A2033100295 ? I think thats the whole kit, though there's some electrics too that are seperate, though I don't think I'd need the electrics since my main objective is to put a bike rack there.....

Why would you find that to be funny?

Good luck with your hitch and ball. They are listed in a seperate category from my ball and chain!

www.fixrim.com - just had them fix a forged BBS wheel, and they did a good job. There are only a few locations throughout the country, I was lucky to have one here in Philadelphia.

Cheaper to fix than buy a new C7 wheel...

Yup, and that was msrp. Around here most dealers charge more than that.
Not only do they charge exorbitant prices, they actually mark them up from the list price. Which is why I order everything from Florida.

On the mbz tv site, they were showing the new slr convertible, and driving it alongside the 300 slr of the 50's and saying, the new one was a car that could be driven every day! Every day, sure....I bet a brake job costs 25 grand too....but couldn't seem to get the pn on the ceramic rotors...

Usually a damaged wheel is no longer round. So if the repair is cosmetic but not structural then it really doesnt fix anything.

I have seen people putting putty and silver paint on C55 rims. Using nothing more than a piece of cardboard to shield the tyres. You have to ask yourself what the price of a bad rim is if anything goes wrong and the rim fractures.

I've seen them quite often on German eBay.
I've even posted pictures of the Coupe trailer hitch kit on my long EuroCoupe thread. They're in there somewhere.
