Brake Disk Question?

Hi Guys,

I've got a 2001my C200k which is pretty much standard at the moment, except for a set of 18" rims. I would like to change the disks front and back, but after doing quite a lot of searching, all the performance aftermarket disks are for the C240 and C320. Does that mean that the disk / rotor size is different for the C200k / C230k?
I thought somebody on this forum might know. Otherwise i'm gonna have to resort to taking the disk off myself and measuring it!
Can anyone confirm whether the brake caliper is the same across the W203 range?

Cheers

There are several versions of brakes used in the W203 platform, and sizes vary from country to country depending on local regulations and desires of the sales department. The brakes also change from model year to model year for similar cars.

In the US, 2001-2004 C230 and C240 use the same brake pads and rotors, for front and rear. I think the US C230 is very similiar to the Euro C200, but there could be differences.

If you want to get rid of the horrendous brake dust problem, do what I did. I bought Hawk Ceramic Front Pads. No dust at all. For the rear, I just bought Akebono Ceramic pads (these pads are only listed for the C240). I stuck with the MB OEM rotors. I didn't feel like spending money on cross-drilled rotors for my car, since the brakes are small to begin with, and I don't want to draw additional attention to the tiny brakes. When I get my 19's, I'll most likely get a big brake kit.
