I think you're missing my point completely. I know people will buy replica stuff, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. And if I don't like it, why should I have to pretend like I do? Some might call it hating, but I just call it my opinion.

You don't like it purely because of 'ethics' though. You can't deny that they look identical other than the BRABUS lettering.

You gonna put a fake ring on your wife's finger too? "But honey, you only want a real diamond because of 'ethics'. You can't deny it looks identical to a real diamond."

I guess, to me, some things I'm fine with as replica and some things that I'm not. Like when it comes to apparel and accessories, I'd never wear the knockoffs. But rims, i mean...its not that big of a deal to me. some people really want the bragging rights, but if you see a set of wheels like the Carlsson 1/16 UL, and u have to pay $6000 for them..why not replicaS? haha thats what my thinking is. and most people dont front about it, like if they had replicas....they'll list that they own replicas..

i agree with Kev on the above posts, a wedding ring or of that matter is diff than wheels. to me wheels are going to get bent, scratched or damaged one day anyways esp in NY/NYC driving. i enjoy other find things in life besides just cars and i dont buy knockoff louie wallets or of that matter but to me wheels are just wheels i'm sorry. ya could've just rocked the stock C7 wheels but i like the brabus wheels and ya you might now like them b/c there chrome or b/c there replica but i like them and thats all it really matters right?

I stopped reading right there. Do me a favor...come back and read this thread when you're in your mid 20's. I couldn't even imagine considering spending that much money on wheels when I was that age, so hopefully your "ethics" will change with time.

Ling, as long as your photography skills were sill godly, I could give a sh*t what wheels you rock.

thats true but if you were to see me at a meet and i rocking authentic brabus caps with my wheels and i told you my wheels were authentic and you had no clue prior would you be able to tell the difference or would you ask to take off my rims and check the numbers? i like my wheels i can understand if i was trying to badge my car a C55 AMG or something but replica wheels are just as nice imo

Wheels are wheels. Truth is, I bet a lot of people who have 'replica' wheels don't even know it. They could have just walked into a shop and saw it hanging on the wall and said I LIKE THAT DESIGN and bought it.

I don't necessary dislike replica wheels because 1. it's better than having stock wheels and 2. even a brand new replica set + tires is a few grand easy.

...look on the bright side...at least the rims dont say frabus on em

It's obvious you've never seen real Brabus wheels. Yes, I could tell without you taking the wheels off. I'm done with this discussion.

+1...you can always tell replicas from the real thing. i had replicas...no shame in that. as I said before if they're what you can afford and like at the time, nothing wrong with that. posing on the other hand is totally different. imo. there are good replicas and there are bad replicas just make sure you can trust the quality.

Both cars look dope, That red one is lovely, real original.
I agree, I don't like chrome rims, my girlfriend baught me some 19" Khan chromes for my birthday, I had to say sorry babe but I dont like them, she took them back and give me the cash and I have now ordered some Carlssons, god damn i can't wait to throw them on, im sick of my stock 16's, totally no respect for them.

But anyhow, Nice rides guys, even if they have chromes, none the less, car is phat.
