c320 $37k
How good is this price and can I get a better deal elsewhere else?
Btw, the dealer charged $700+ for the teleaid because it's no longer on promotion. Else I'm sure I could've gotten it a bit cheaper.
By the way Tele-Aid is $775.
Are we starting another one of these attention starved teenager operas? :p
Not sure I'd brag about it here unless you can prove it, though.
Boy, folks, we're all becoming doubting Thomas' around here lately...
But then I realized this must mean I got a good deal. Anyways I just signed the papers today and will drive the car off the lot tomorrow. Already got the keys. They didn't give it to me tonight because I didn't have full coverage insurance and my insurance agent had left for the day.
But I can assure you that this IS the price I'm paying. If anyone wants details or is interested in buying one PM me.

Asked him for more details but he hasn't responded.

If I get it later down the line how much would it cost me?
AND, you can buy it from any dealer, anywhere in the country, at any negotiated price you and the dealer can agree upon.
I expect to buy the warranty, but not until we are down to 60 days or so on the first year, and then via Internet with a bidding message to every dealer West of the Rockies. We have a dealer in Chico, CA that is famous [or infamous among other dealers] for discounting the warranty. Like everything else that the dealer buys from MBUSA, there is a wholesale cost and an MSRP, and dealers can sell it for whatever they want.
With a $1500 incentive, an '02 C320 with a moderate option load would still net the dealer a few bucks at $5500 off MSRP, though we would be deep into holdback, depending...
In any case, the supply of leftover C320s is pretty thin; there are boatloads of '02 C coupes at our Sacramento dealer [the coupes get a $1000 dealer kickback], and he even has 8-10 C240s left, but the last C320 is one of those with every option and has been a hard sell.
I was eyeing the C320 going in, but bought a CLK320 instead.
Main reason for the coupe was because we just had a newborn baby, and my wife wanted to look more stylish.
But my point is that carsdirect.com has fairly good prices, and we were able to talk the dealer down $500 less than carsdirect prices. Getting the CLK for only $500 above invoice was pretty good considering I didn't expect MB dealerships to ever bargain.
Always depends on supply and demand - some models will always be a tough buy, others will always be available in great numbers and at great discounts.
And yes, CarsDirect is a great place to start, and often a good lever to use - I did it myself on the last purchase. I used their quote as the "floor" from which the serious bargaining began.

I'd think with a newborn it would be more convenient to have back doors to access the baby seat.

It's a little inconvenient, but it worked out. Baby is almost 6 months and ready for a booster soon so we're almost clear on that.
Regarding carsdirect.com, our dealer actually has that website bookmarked because he says "it's easier to bargain that way".
Last thing, prices on carsdirect.com do flucuate day to day because of supply and demand, so if you keep checking, you may get a nice price to start the bargaining chips on. Our CLK was $2k below MSRP when we got the car, and a week later it went back up to MSRP.
Got quoted $37k for 2003 c320 with c2, c3, and c4, automatic, no metallic paint. I'm in the Los Angeles area.

I think that's a great deal but definately within reason... I think a C320 w/ those options would be somewhere along the lines of $800 below invoice. You were able to find a 2003 C Class in the Los Angeles area w/ the C4 package? I went to Fletcher Jones and MB of Laguna Niguel and neither had an on the lot w/ C4 and both dealerships claimed that only a very small percentage of C Class had C4. Fletcher Jones supposedly tried to find a car w/ C4 from other dealers to trade for but no other dealers had any. I ended up ordering a C240 w/ auto, C2, and C4 for $600 below inivoice. I think $800 below invoice would have been very possible for cars that they had sitting in the lot and no, I'm not an attention starved teenager either... :p
