Compare C320 and C240?
I'm looking at examples of both; not so much interested in the performance aspect, as I drive a 1997 Porsche 911 as my fair-weather car.
But curious if there are other differences other than engine size. How do they compare in terms or mileage, reliability, power, resale, etc?
Prices seem to be comparable on the market here.

2001 M-B C240
well i was deciding on the same thing about 2 months ago and went ahead and got the 240. Primarily because i wanted a luxo car and not a car based on engine size. The diffs between the 240 and 320 are obviously engine size, the 320 has auto climate control, right mirror turn-down for parking in reverse, fully auto seats (240 has semi-auto), auto steering adjustment, memory seats, Bose premium audio (standard)...thats pretty much the diffs, but i got a 240 with a couple more opts like the rain-sensing wipers, rear sunshade, tele-aid...Also save a little more gas since i drive city most of the time..hope this helps ya

2005 C230K Sport Sedan, 6 speed manual
In the US market, the C240 was available with a 6-speed manual transmission (some years), whereas the C320 was automatic only. I am not sure if this makes a difference, but since you drive a Porsche........
The C320 normally came a bit better equipped than the C240, although options play a large role here. The C320 was substantially more expensive when new, so it is rarer than the C240. The C320 is more powerful, but not by a huge amount (about 40 hp).
I personally would have a slight preference for the C320, but if the right C240 comes along, I would say you should buy that.
