C-Class Modding Forums

Are there any good forums on the net focused on modding the C-Class? I ran some Google searches but turned up nothing worthwhile.

You mean like this one?

Seriously though, I've checked for other benz forums.... it just isn't worth it. After reading here for a month or two and looking through some of these other ones, the people there are retards compared to the knowledgeable group of people here.

And if you mean a forum just for modding, not focusing on all stuff Mercedes, then I can't help you out there and this was a waste of a post. Sorry bro.

How about just a C-Class specific forum, any ideas?

Well, if you STFF, you will find out you're too late. There was one, it branched/expanded out and then folded/closed its doors. In the meantime MBW persisted and prospered.

Even though this may not be what you want to hear, just try searching google. Only 2 forums that actually have a good number of posts come up and MBWorld is one of them, the other (as mentioned above by me) seems to be filled with people who don't know what they're talking about. I mean, definitely keep searching if you'd like, but from the looks of it, this forum is as good as it gets for Mercedes info.

FWIW, there's lots of people here who don't have a focking clue what they're talking about.

haha, me being one of them, but I'm trying to change that which is why I read as much on here as possible. It just sucks for newbies such as myself when I sit there and read a post I think is informative, then someone else says it's BS. Then it's like, who do I believe? and then I'm back to not knowing anything about the subject. Doesn't happy all the time, but you get the point.

That's the kind of thing I was thinking about, very C-Class focused. 37 members and 146 is actually a pretty good start and a nice look. As I said at the top, I started by doing the prerequisite Google searches. Turned up plenty of forums but all general stuff. MBWorld and BenzWorld are the only two over 1M posts but still, general and not C-Class or modding focused which I what I was pinging around for.

If you guys think it's warrantable -- we can split up the C-Class forums into more definition -- but it has to be a clear majority that favors it (and uses it, who'll want to click through four different forums to find information!)

WTF did you not just realize you just posted in a W203 specific board that has enough information for all your need?

This is a great forum and it is MB general in nature. With 2.3M posts it is certainly the largest too. I was just asking if anyone knew of any C-Class specific or C-Class modding focused forums that were not MB general in nature.

I understand your comment.

This forum may discuss the C-class and people pretend to discuss modding, it really doesn't. The most common mods are: lighting, rims, and OEM retrofits - hardly exciting after 6 years of the C-class. Moreso there's very little technical or DIY information available compared to other forums like BMW and Audi.

So take that to mean exactly what it does - that the reason there's little modding information available is cause there's few that do it. The guys that heavily modded their C-class used to post a lot of great info on another site that has since closed, and/or they have moved onto other projects leaving a 6yo design without many new buyers modding it much.

If you're really interested in modding, trade in for a BMW or Audi.

Yeah, that's about right isn't it. There is so much good information and parts out there for the BMW especially. They are a little more performance oriented and have built a big modding community and the parts vendors feed on that. I come out of modding Mustangs and there was a ton of stuff and real specialized forums.
