Audio 30 APS
Why am I getting the impression that I am the only person out there with a Becker Audio 30 APS fitted to their C-Class?
Anyone else have one. Thought about upgrading or figuring out a way to add an ipod?
The rude guy at Becker SA said that you can't do it. Would love to prove the W**ker wrong.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
Check the manal for the headunit. If it says you can select an Aux Input, you might be in luck.
Ring your local MBZ stockist and ask if they have a "Walkman Retrofit" cable. It'll cost a few Rand and has a minijack that mounts in a cutout in the left end of the glove box. The other end fits in the connector in the channel under the door sill on the passenger side. There is a thread with pictres and full details.
If you don't have Aux Input, but your Audio 30 has a cassette player (has anyone under 25 ever seen one?) you can sacrafice the function and rewire the cassette input for output from an iPod or other minijack audio source. There is a thread with pictures showing how to do this, but you might want to have a pro make the mod.

Thanks for that info
No AUX and No cassette. Doh! I have learnt that a Denision Gateway 500 works if you remove the CD changer from the loop. But that item costs big money and I wonder if it's better to simply replace the head unit with a DVD player with ipod jack.
