Hi
My new transmission is now fitted. Not bad 1 week and they had to fly it from Germany. It seems a bit more responsive, so maybe it was affecting performance during the 6 weeks I have had my car.
Here's hoping no more problems.

Noticed a slight vibration noise like a metal sheet vibrating, would only happen when putting your foot down from a left hand bend or junction. Asked them to check out the noise when I had the power supply fitted in the trunk. They checked the onboard computer and it had registered a couple of faults on the gearbox, some metal filings also found. MB told them to fit a complete new unit. Only done 4500 miles. Took them a week including bringing one from Germany.

pretty good timing. its too bad that you had to have the trans replaced after only 4500 miles though. hopefully you can look forward to many smooth shifting miles (or km's) on the carrageways.
