How many miles / Km on your engine?

MBWorld Fanatic!
Just crossed 113K miles.
Recent repairs?
Well I got a new Magnaflow Cat, old one was clogged and cooked.
Grey powder came out of it when they removed it.
Anyone else replace their cat yet? Use a Magnaflow?
Notice an increase in exhaust volume?
Just curious.
Also getting occasional misfire at hi rpm, you can hear it and feel it.
That was the initial symptom of the bad cat, though it's not as bad now.
While Magnaflow is supposed to be hi flow, is it enough?
Get what seems to be a bit of a backfire occasionally too...
too much fuel being sent to the engine?
Time for new 02 sensors?
New passenger side rear speaker grill, new wheel well cover.
Occasional ESP errors on start up that go away after driving for a little while, and restarting the car.
I park on 45 degree incline.
Seems to happen most frequently after parking in the driveway.
Anyone have any ideas on that?
Still lovin' my Coupe'. Took me till 100K to get it how I wanted it anyway.
Crossing my finger, no major repairs in my future.

2002 C230K Coupe
2002 C230 Coupe 66400 miles. I owned it for about 5 months and put on 6500 miles.
One day I feel like I will keep this car forever and the next day I hate myself for buying it and wish someone rams into it when parked and I get insurance pay off. Just everything I liked about the car before buying it broke down within a month after I bought it and it is gonna be an expensive fix.

My gas sipping C-Class
2005 C230 SS with 111,000 miles
Same clutch
same spark plugs
dropped it off this afternoon, for what looks like its 3rd A/C compressor.
Other than the damn A/C, this car has been flawless...Still drives nicer than the POS 2007 Honda Accord I have as a rental..What a difference in how these two cars drive...

2005 C230 SS
103,000 miles
Just passed my MB-Starmark Warranty at 100k about 3 months ago.
So far:
-PCV Hose blew at like 50k and threw CEL(free, warranty, and its recall campaign)
-Another AirHose blew at 101k and threw CEL ($8 dollar hose, $220 labor at the stealership)
-I noticed OEM light bulbs like to blow out fast, theres actually a TSB out on this. You'd think merecedes would at least use decent bulbs.
-Did the M271, cam adjuster/sensor + wiring harness upgrade at 101k ($220 @ dealership)
-bottom floor guard on front right wheel blew off (this was my fault, drove through a 2.5 foot puddle @ 45mph in hard rain)
-driverside window wouldnt auto-close for the longest time, but afterwhile, it kinda fixed itself. (still baffles me???)
other than that, so far so good (knock on wood).
i hoping my car can last an additional 50k miles at least...
jw, anyone who did the m271 cam adjuster/sensor fix and the addtional wiring harness..
with the new wiring harness, does that mean i dont have to clean wiring contacts??? was that the whole purpose of the upgrade?

126K miles.
Last 2 months, flushed tranny, flushed diff, replaced the manifold gasket was leaking, new Supercharger, yanked the SC muffler, rebuilt the alternator, new belts, cleaned the MAF, battery terminals,
installed Bix, 2005 tails and blinkers, 19mm sway on the rear, All the above DIY, total cost ~$1k vs, god knows at the dealer.
Marching towards 200K with confidence.
M111 is an excellent engine....sorry but not so for the M271.
Saved myself a few grand, and no worries, except likely need a battery soon.
Runs and drives better than ever, seriously! It hauls.

Just turned 30,000 on my 05' C230K SS. My all time record was a 1987 190D that had 315,000 on it when it finally went to its third owner.

29,500 stop and go city miles on a 2001 C240.
I just recently replaced the thrust arm bushings for $450 at Helms Brothers in Flushing, New York during an A service inspection. In 2005 I replaced the stabilizer bar under warranty. New York City roads and driving take the life out of Benzes. Even low mileage ones.

2001 C320
Please allow me to chirp in with my C320 V6 that has 188 275 miles (303,000km) and counting...
I have only replaced the serp belt, oil changes, filter changes and aircon unit (they tell me it doesn't usually "go"). Sparkplugs too expensive to replace so I just drive with the original ones. Down side of course fuel consumption....
Power still very good, though. Did 145 mph the other day and will take on most 325i's. Shox seem to need replacing and coils retention. Can one do that?
So, drive your Benz for another 200 000 miles - it'll go strong!!
Compliments to Mercedes for designing a powerfull yet durable motor!!
