Yes, but isnt that part of the reason why we mod our cars to begin with. You dont upgrade your ugly 16" wheels to 19's to blend in with the crowd.

well, nick, E is right on a "trend" kinda part, but thats whats supposed to be done.

car modifications dont HAVE to stay on your car once you have done it. it can always be removed/replaced.

such as... spinners. they got so played out.
... all white tail lights...no comment.

I can agree that time-attack is a trend type, but its also a style. its very popular.

as for recent "trends" or we can say "group", we're looking a standard list for mods on a "recent popular style"

1. matte black or gloss black grill
2. projector headlights with angel eyes/halo rings
3. tinted black tail lights
4. matte black or gloss black wheels (with or without polished lip)

and with those 4 basics, your in the "up to date" mod style!

Oh no, I agree with what E said about trends. Most mods usually start out as trends.

Personally, I like the TA style and dont think that it is rice. Gigantic aluminum wings on a front wheel drive kia on the other hand are.

I appreciate your input, and contributions to the board, same as I do Advan's While your contributions are hugely different in depth, I think you have something to add.

No, I never thought neon on cars was cool. Quite dumb. Both then and now.

I have always done mods that were performance or safety enhancing. Look at my sig line. I'm no stranger to vehicle modifications. In fact, I have quite a few things I don't care to put. If it doesn't add benefit, it is a no go in my book.

I want to insure you understand this is my opinion, I'm in no way saying don't do it. Rather pointing out, that in a few years, it is possible that you will reflect and wonder why. Part of the growing experience.

As for why to put 19s, if it looks good, then great. However, I want bonafide performance, and improvement. If it doesn't enhance the performance of the car, then, I won't do it.

I have a bit of a reputation for commenting on things that I find silly. No reason to stop now.

Happy motoring, stay safe.

understood.

but maybe if you used a little euphemism rather than simply and curtly, "that's rice" would I respect your opinion.
