30000mile brake Q

so im around 30K and now my brake light sensor has gone off. Does this refer to only the front pads, or signify issues with the rotors too

im wondering what i should have replaced because my car has the sport drilled rotors .
how long do rotors usually last, ????

my wife drives the car primarily (its hers) so there is no hard *** driving

thanks for advice

Pads. Probably just the front. Rotors should be fine. Think I changed mine @ 50k

I have about 32K on mine, and I just replaced the front pads and rotors. I was told my pads were completely worn, and the rotors still had some life to them, but that it was probably worth it to just replace them now. The only issue now is that they're squeeking loud as hell.

so i took the car to the shop today and got a quote on my brakes

he said the discs are fine but there are a few "low spots" which may cause vibration/squeeking but no issue with stoping
he said if u wanna change the discs, they cost abt 140 each ( they are the sport model larger drilled rotors)
i opted just for pads this time around

Yes, you are correct sir. Next time replace rotors. Not this time.
And at that time, get ceramic pads.
