12mm lugs in a 14mm wheel?
I ordered a set of wheels (Moven S5R)- they came in drilled for a 14mm lug. They also came with 14mm lugs- my car doesn't use that size- it uses 12mm. I am in the process of getting the correct lugs. Any issues that can come about by using these wheels and the smaller lugs? Any sleeves of any kind I need to buy? Seems there is but my salesman is telling me a lot of MB wheels are drilled larger than need be to fit a variety of MB's. Anyone else heard this or had any first had expirience with issues like this?

The salesman doesn't know $h... you will be ok if you get 12mm lugs from RAD which are strong, but with the 14mm holes you are asking to crack bolts if you get on it--i have even broken the rad bolts--depends on the depth of the bolt as well-----just keep an eye on the rears from time to time and as long as they are hubcentric they will be ol for you

Im doing this right now with my car with CLS wheels. RDSKlasse is also running this on his C Class w/ SL wheels.
I was assured by radusa (where i bought the lugs) that if I got the proper seating (ball/cone) and made sure that the shank length and thread (12x1.5) were proper, the wheels would be safely held on the car and that there arent such "sleeves" that you are thinking about. I also noticed that there is a small space around the shank of a stock wheel and the stock lugs and the space w/ my CLS wheels is still pretty small. I also know that some audi guys do the same thing without any issues, but i dont get the impression that they go driving their cars REALLY hard (tracking/drag).
I was very concerned with this situation having known little about it. Sorry, I would have responded earlier, but I thought someone else was going to chime in on this.
Info:
CLS500 wheels usually used on a CLS
14x1.5 thread with R14 ball seating shank length - i dunno?
C320 wheels usually used on a C
12x1.5 thread with R12 ball seating and shank length of ~39mm.
CLS500 wheels on C320 (What im running)
12x1.5 thread w/ R14 ball seating Shank length of 26mm.
Hope that helps.

good to know even the lug manufacturer is assuring you that everything will work out ok. makes me feel much better. the seating point on the lugs that i was sent is correct- just not the dia or length.
no reason to drive my car hard- the c230 is slow to begin with. add in 19" wheels, a couple amps, and a 12" sub- and it just goes down hill from there.
thanks

Im pretty sure the info i posted is correct w/ the different lugs and what nots, but don't quote me on it. Hit them up w/ an email and they will definately fill you in on it. They were very prompt w/ email response.
Shank length was my biggest issue because RADUSA couldnt tell me the length required. I had to take the stock wheel + stock lugs off and see how far they stuck out of the back of the wheel (how far the go into the wheel hub) because I didnt want the new lugs to be rubbing on the e brake. I made sure to buy lugs that would "stick out the same amount."
Good Luck,

12mm x 40mm is stock all the way around- at least on my car it was.
a 12mm x 40 will work on the front because i need to use a 5mm spacer. through my rough estimates doing about the same thing as you did- i need about a 12mm x 34-36mm on the rear.
