rotor upgrade

okay, i've done a search on brakes, rotors, pads, etc. now for all of your opinions. i want to get a set of aftermarket cast cross-drilled rotors. i want them to be larger than stock yet still being able fit the steel 16" rims. what is the biggest size possible. also, what makes do you recommend. i've seen brembo, but not sure if they are cast, rather than drilled. i have also come across zimmermann and heard good things. if i step up to a bigger rotor are there any mods i need to have or just direct replacement? thanks.

mee too. Now that i got new rims that shows the rotors more i'm looking fore cross-drilled/slotted rotors for my C230k. I'm not really concerned of larger ones just same size will be fine as well. I also heard of possible good deal on C32 brake kit. Any URL/site on rotors? Brembo/Zimmermann/???. Thanks guys.

I heard on other threads that the cross drilled rotors crack from the holes. Is this true? Some people don't reccomend it because after a wile they don't look so good?

i heard this too, that's why i'm so **** as to having them cast, not drilled. i believe that zimmermann are cast, but don't quote me on that. anyone know if brembos are cast?

That happens if they are not drilled properly- like by some kid in his basement. If you buy from a reputable mfg. they should not crack.

If you change the rotor size, you probably also have to change the caliper. Don't know for sure but, this probably also requires a different spindle.

where did you get the slotted brembos and balomotortexs? are they bigger than stock size. if so, did you have to change anything or direct replacement?
