Headlights and tails consideration

I was thinking about getting new headlights and tail lights for my 04 c230k and was wondering if these were decent considerations.

I don't want to mess anything up electrical wise in my car. Are these safe bets? What's to think about when purchasing new lighting?

if you're asking if they work, then yes, they will work safely.

but there are better lights out there. the taillights are fine, but for the headlights, you should go for the OEM Bi-Xenons, or the OEM Clear Headlights.

just to let you know that, most projector on ebay has really poor light output, i've seen few in person before, the output is even worse than the oem clear headlights.

i cannot stress how horrible ebay headlights are. my buddy has them in his W210 and honestly, the visibility on them suck, the projectors wobble, so his headlights seem as if they are highbeaming. eventually we retrofitted TSX projectors in them.

go OEM with the headlights, you'll save yourself the headaches.

Any resources for locating a set of either the clear oems or the bi-xenon oems? What do the clear oems look like? Thanks.

Wow, that's a pretty good price for the clear halogen lights.

for headlights you should try classified from time to time and ya S class tails are the way to go IMO. LED ones look phat but they dont last... so i went with the regular S tails

g luck

agree... don't get those headlights! get OEM bi-xenon or clear OEM non-projector style. Might be a good time to get in touch with MbenzNL...

the mercedes website states the price of $420 also, so my guess all dealers should have the same price across the US. if for some reason they dont i will be more than happy to get them for whom ever.

PS: i did say $470 but i checked the receipt and it is $420+tax

here is the link to the mercedes site, check under the appearance section:

Interesting. I'm sure this will come in handy for those that don't want to spend the extra cash on bi-x. Very helpful information. Thanks for posting this.
