insurance dilemna
ok i talked to my icbc adjuster
he said that i do not have to pay a $300 deductible
for the stolen car since it was not damaged i have yet to see it so i do not know that for sure...
the problem i have is i need to get my key changed since the robbers to my car had my keys to steal my car they could easily come back and steal it again. my insurance is telling me that they will not replace it even though i have the theft / vanadlism packag...are they trying to rip me off?

I think you can take it to the dealer and have them turn that key off, so that it doesn't work anymore. You will still have a problem with them having the actual key that they can stick in the door though. It's hard to tell whether they would come back for it again or not. They wouldn't be able to drive it away again, but I guess it's a risk whether or not you think they will come back and open it and steal something inside. Of course, the alarm will go off as soon as they open the door, assuming you locked it with the remote button.
