I prefer the 1.8 SC over the 2.5 6 cyl. I drove both, and the 1.8 is quicker, and feels more like a sport engine. The 2.5 is definately quieter and smoother, but feels better suited for a luxury model. The only downfall to the 1.8 is that it isn't a very quiet engine, but if you want a "sporty" feeling car, the 1.8 is the better choice.
If you can find a 07 C230 cheap, that is also a good option IMO. While this car has the 2.5 6cyl, it has many other things that the 05-06 don't have. I really like the wheels on the 07, the interior has a great looking dark wood finish instead of the aluminum finish that I don't care for on the 03-06 Sport, the 07 also comes with the C55 spoiler, and has mp3 capability.

You mentioned throttle lag. I noticed that in mine too. I'm afraid if I add a K&N air filter, it will lag more when I release the throttle. I've noticed that one my other car, it would slow down a lot quicker. Didn't really like that. Did you experience that too?

I research and see a lot of cars and I that's by far the best looking z350 i've ever seen in my life. nice and clean. pretty much perfect. 5 spoke rims are my fave and glad it's subtle and it's bright blue. looks great. good job on that.
I guess you're gunna be my competition when it comes to modding the c230k. There isn't as much you can do with it as you've done with the z however. considering your style and liking, have you considered the lexus is350?

Um, you better start searching through the forums to see how many heavily modded w203's are on here and think twice about who your "competition" is. Let's just say that you have to become a member of the 15K club in order to come relatively close at all. Best of luck to you, but just realize that your statement...well...it's best you look around first before making a statment like that.Have you not seen all the w203's that are heavily modded on here? Plus, skylineawd, clearly stated that he's trying to find a reliable DD (daily driver), so the whole reason he's getting rid of the Z would not be to mod it.

I seriously believe that ..W203 230K would be a much better choice.. Take a look at my car..there is alot of modifications that can be done. =) It is an interesting car, and I love it so much with the mods..Also, if you love sound, c230K has a a better droning sound. I did custom on mine..and its so perfect.

rgunawanz, you have a great looking MB. I love the HRE's. Yeah I hopefully will have the time to go test drive an 05 Monday, if not sooner. I'm going to be spending most of tomorrow and Sunday de-modding my car to part it out. I then will be looking to sell the Z and get the MB. I talked with my tuner that I use around here and he was like I won't let you touch it, (meaning the MB). He said wheels and drop thats it. He knows how bad I get the mod bug, but hopefully will be able to control myself a little better with this car. I definately want a black on black though. So far I have found a lot of good info being on here, and hopefully will continue learning.

haha...yeah..you cant really do much on the ss..other than the ECU and the Pulley..hmmm I liked modding on the extirior more tou...thanks! haha good luck>! White is nice tou...heheh black on white maybe? and paint the roof black..tight!
