C320 Sports Coupe 2003
Share yours thoughts with me about my problems!!

Hello guys so I have this problem here. I currently own a 2003 Mercedes C320 Sports Coupe. ITs an Auto With only 26K on it. Recently there been lots of road work be done on the freeway by where I live. Many bumps, there were many bumps which on bump got me pretty good. I was going about 70-80 until I realized there was a bump on the freeway which hit the bottom of my car. I didn't think much of it, but realized there was soon rattling sounds in my exhaust system as I gassed but would go away once it shifted. I just thought something was loose and I might of just hit it. Was planning to bring it to the exhaust shop on the weekend and just drove the car throughout my week and didn't think it would hurt the car. As I was getting off the freeway I realized there was a huge amount of power lost and when I gassed my car it would build up power very slow. Soon I noticed my check engine light turned on. I bought my car down to a local machine and was told one or two of my cylinders stopped working. I was told it was due to "pushing" the car. My coupe is a sports package and does have the tipronic , I do use it on the freeway once in a while to cut lanes and what not, and at times just enjoying a good fast drive down a highway. But whats weird to me is that amount of miles which I put on the car, its so low of miles which I do not believed I have pushed my car that hard. I was told I might need a need motor, but I was told by my buddy it would be some sort of electrical prob;em which stopped my cylinders. The warranty is up on the car, so I am in trouble. I was wondering if anyone knew if an insurance agent would over a new motor or any sorts of repairs. I am pretty much stumped in my situation, feel free to share your thoughts thanks

Take it to the dealer first to see what they have to say. Unfortunately it will probably cost you some money to get it looked at. I only recommend the dealer since they are more experienced with your car. I know they are very expensive, but after they determine what is wrong you can take it somewhere else for repair. Hopefully it may be something very minor. The electronics could easily be the problem, since they are so complicated. As far as insurance picking up the bill, it is highly doubtful. Unless it can be proved that damage was caused by road. Still it is highly doubtful. Then you would still be subject to the deductible. Good luck hopefully it will only be something minor. It is easy to get very nervous with these situations.
