Speedometer: digital out of sync with Analog
I took it to the dealer where I bought it from, they serviced it and checked the speed sensor and said it was working fine. They said since it is a used car its bound to have some imperfections and since the analog is working properly I dont really need the digital but this seems a little bit more than a slight imperfection to me. At first they tried telling me it was taking my average speed. Is this correct? I understand if it was a couple mph off but its way off and the average speed is collected in a different screen.
I bought it about 2 weeks ago and it still falls under the dealers 30 day warranty. I also purchased an extended 3 1/2 yr warranty. Should this be covered? Or since it is a "used" car, it would be "crazy" to replace the whole unit as the dealer says.
What do you guys think? I believe it needs to be resetted somehow but no clue on how I go about doing that. Any suggestions? Thanks!
