Does anyone else notice a faint electric humming sound that comes from the overhead consol/sos/light after your turn your car off. It will usually last a couple of minutes afterwards?
Thanks,

First thing I noticed after getting the car home. Have learned to ignore it, assuming it has to do with the electronics [GPS, phone pickup] embedded in same.

The "speaker/microphone-grill" like louvers on the right side of the console are actually vents for the interior temperature sensor. Part of this assembly is a small fan which draws air into the overhead console and across the sensor. The fan generates the hum you hear. Hold a 1" x 1" piece of light tissue to the louvers and watch the fan pull the tissue to the vent... Yes, the hum is normal.
Thanks guys. I appreciate your insight. I had even unsnapped the consol from the ceiling to see what it might have been. I hate hearing sounds like that when you think everything should be turned off.
