best way to paint my calipers mars red
ive got an 05 sport sedan with the factory bbk. the calipers are gorgeous and there is no way im taking a generic red g2 kit and painting them with a paintbrush. id like to go for a high gloss look, and then find a "mercedes benz" decal to put on. basically im looking for a finish comprable to brembo or stoptech, in my opinion it would look horrible if i were to do a half-assed job on these calipers. im sure someone has done this before, any options or leads? thanks fellas.

There is one place near me that does powder coating, but Ive never used them or seen their work. I am on the look out for a set of C32 calipers or the SS calipers and give those guys a try.
sounds good to me. I have an extra set of bix so I could paint those and we'll just meet up and swap parts, and drink.
Car is good. Its been out of the shop for 2 weeks, but its going back monday to have the rieger kit painted and installed. I would of done it myself but I just dont have the time.

He's done a ton of work for me; he's got a red that I've had some of my crx's parts done in, and it should work fine for you. I'd suggest you contact him; prices are very fair, too.
PS Think we've passed each other a couple of times recently in the morning, as I'm going from home to Rte. 17. If not, there's another great-looking Mars sedan in the area.

Dino, let me know when you remove your calipers. Maybe we could meet up and I could test fit them on my car. I want to do the C32 bbk but want to make sure they work. 4matic FTL

I can tell you that the G2 kit is awsome if you spray it on with the Preval spray unit, an air brush or detail gun. I brushed mine on the first time and hated it. The brush they supply is pure crap. Got another kit and used the Preval and love the finish. I sanded the calipers to give the paint a little tooth to stick to. A lot glossier than the stock AMG calipers and it looks to be very durable. I may be worng, but I thought that G2 would do custom colors too.
I will try to post some pics this weekend when I put the lettering on. I wanted to let them cure for a week first.
