IIRC, he had a NOS setup on the stock motor. Too much nitrous, not enough fuel, and Kaboom.

The new owner of the car then removed the supercharger, and put a turbo on it...at least that's the way I remember the story...

the nitrous ran awesome....we had a custom made crank pulley....as well as a S/C pulley.....we ran 75-100 jets....everything was fine....for about 2-3 months...never leaned out....smooth..and then we started messing with a custom computer setup....lost a few of the controls....everything still worked....then i got myself talked into a race with a low 12 second mustang....

figured i would try and show him that i could stay somewhat close (taking off at a 40 kick) changed jets.....too much nitrous...and BOOM....tick..tick..tick...

went back...tore it down....had some problems with my best friend/mechanic....then it turned into a drama...and now we are in court over it....long story.....

im sure if you do a search you will find my post about all the details...but that was just some quick things that happen....

And correct about converter flash... will be faster *if* the tires don't spin.

Converters actually multiply torque for a short time during launch.
Yes, it is 60 feet. I was just guessing.

I hope you are not implying that these cars will spin tires. hahahaha j/k
