it is suppost to be hidden somewhere in your car unbeknownst to you.

From what I searched the early warning system calls you on your cellphone and tell you that your car has been moved. But it didnt show anything about this device.

Is this the lojack device itself

Is this what I hide in the car?

Im pretty sure you are supposed to carry this around with you on your keychain. If Lojack senses the car is moving without this item in it, it will alert you via your cell phone.

The device looks different from the one I have, but if it is a part of the early warning system you are supposed to keep it on your key chain next to the ignition key. If someone starts the car without it, it will trigger the alert telling LoJack that your car is being moved without your key. The red light on the unit is a low batery indicator.

Good luck

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't believe the Mercedes put these in their cars. This is an aftermarket item right? I don't have this.

Thanks guys now I know what to do with it I dont have to freak out and not know how to use it or trigger the Lojack system.

I got my car second hand one of the best deals I think with 9k miles but for the past 7k or so the car average 26mpg so I know the owner took care of the car and never beat on it atleast till now

I dont think its an after market part I believe it comes with the tow package the one in your dashboard I think I dont even know how to use it hahahahah.
