i try to replace the cabin filter earlier than the recommonded period b/c i took my old one out and it was BLACK! the new one is white... there cheap anyways if you buy it from the autoparts store. Go with a Bosch one and as far as air filters replace them when you do service B. Always oil change with Mobil 1. Air filters Mann or you can try K&N and Green... i like to stick with OEM air filters.

Check around here for a B service DIY, and also a checklist from Mercedes for service.
Cabin filter gets replaced every B service.
Air filter depend on how dirty it is.
If it's not, then turn it 180 degrees.

Does anyone know the ballpark price on cabin filter and fuel filter from the dealerships? I'm sure its not much, but just wondering....I didn't change those when I got my oil change, I figured I'd do it afterwards, but its something I have to put on my list...

Don't buy from dealer. Buy aftermarket.

There's so many threads on this, hence I didnt post details. This just came up the other day.
I've used this place...Bosch filter for < $35
http://www.autopartsworld.com/Part.a...ed=fuel-filter
Dealer would want 150 just for the fuel filter.
There's a DIY on the fuel filter around here somewhere.
Basically, get some small clamps, clamp the hose,
make sure you don't get 'em mixed up.
The whole thing can be done with the car on ramps in less than 1/2 hour.
