Wheel coating??

Hello,

My self and a friend are wondering if there is anything that can be done about break dust build up??

Both driving 2007 W203

We live in Toronto, and are wondering if anyone knows of any location that offers any type of wheel coating?? teflon perhaps?? or some remedy for easy removal without any abraision or acid?

Well any thought's let me know.

Thanks!

as long as you keep up with cleaning- it should just come off with regular soap and water. also look in this section of the forum- there is a thread that's been going about a guy that used ceramic pads with great results.

Clay bar works in getting off stubborn brake dusts.

You can pick up wheel cleaner that coats an extra layer. I'm using the Teflon wheel cleaner

Works good but haven't had a chance to get the wheels dirty enough to notice the difference.

I use zaino on my rims, helps prevent the brake dust buildup and when you wash the rims the dust comes off a lot better. But pretty much any high temp sealant should do the trick.

Only downside is if you use anything but zaino type soap (like acidic wheel cleaners) to clean your rims then you will strip the zaino.

get ceramic pads i got the EBC red stuff... i waxed my wheels with synthetic wax and just keep up with the cleaning with a good wheel cleaner. the stock pads just dust way too much.
