NEWBIE, and confused!
I recently got a black '02 C320 w/ 53K on it, so far i love every thing about it. I got couple questions:
1. last week the message "Low engine oil" poped up once when i was driving. I used the tool in the dash to measure the oil and it said that i need to add 1.5 qts of oil. I added 1 qt and measured it again and it said level is ok. today i measured the oil leavel and it said add 1 qt. Is that tool accurate, i'm always on a level surface when i measure the oil. Does the C320 noramally lose oil from time to time? or do i have an oil leak?
2. Where can I get a sport gril, the one with the MB Star? Is it possible to remove the hood star?
3. What is suppose to be done for Service A and Service B?
4. I have halogen headlights, is it possible to swap them for like an '05 Clear xenon headligts.
5. What is the stock wheel size?

no, not normal for it to burn oil, if it does it shouldn't burn that much
2 can be answered by buying from out sponsors
3 and 4 can be done by searching
and 5 as well, they are the same as the ones used in the c240

ANS: it happens some times best bet Get a Sip stick from the dealer

ANS:EBAY and yes you can remove the hood star and put a flat emblem

ANS:Service A Top of Fluids Change Air Filter
Service B: Change Oil, Filters, Check Brakes etc..

This is the only forum that I have ever belonged to that the majority of the active members can only tell a newb to "sttf". Remember, you were a newb once and we are here to help others regardless if the topic was discussed over and over. Sometimes it's easier just to ask a quick question than search through numerous pages of threads where the main topic is partially answered and it leads to you need to lower your car, change your license plate bulbs etc......Lets help eachother!

My 2002 used about a quart every 3K miles and anything more than a quart every 1K miles would have been covered under warranty. Our 2004.5 C230 or 1998 SLK230 do not sip a drop of oil in 10K miles. Some say it's in the way you broke it in and that's possible. I think it's just luck of the draw. Was your car built on a Friday or during Oktoberfest?

2007 C230 Sport manual
In my old 2001 C230 kompressor coupe and 2004 C230 komopressor sedan, I sometimes had to add oil. I always just followed what the car's computer told me to do, and it was fine. Since it seems you got the car used, you might want to take it into your local dealership and have them do whatever service is needed (A or B) based on the milage.
