Ignition Key House fell off

PLEASE HELP. I have a C 200 Kompressor W203-2001, suddenly the ignition key house (where you insert the ignition key to start the engine on to) collapse. Basically, I still can insert the key to the house but have to reach deeper inside the dashboard. At the moment the ignition key house is inside the dash board about 4 cm, and I can still reach it but if it falls deeper I would not be able to start because out of reach.

Any of you have a similar problem. I would expect that it will cost me a fortune because to fix it i have to take out the dash board.

PLEASE HELP

never happened to me but pictures would be great... i think u might have to get behind the dash to see if a clip or something is broken.

Mine did this yesterday, first the ring fell off then the ignition sunk in....

Did you end up getting this fix/figure out the problem? It looks as though it was held up by the ring? Im worried that it will sink in further before i can make it to the dealership...
