![Question](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/icons/icon5.gif)
Hi everyone,
I started my mod with interior.
Navi+Bluetooth ready.
CA-R-PI 131 not ready. It came with instructions and did it fairly easy.
PIONEER message appears on the cluster, but the control of the volume is not working neither the track change on the treering wheel.
Any thought or comments? I'm just stuck![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Your help would be welcome![bow](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)
If your tell me it is not the right carpi for my car or navi,...![mercy](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/mecry.gif)
Any ways feel free to post but don't be too hard on my mistakes![Stick Out Tongue](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
thx

Looks like you have the Capri plugged into the Digital Signal Output instead of the Remote Control input.
The remote control input is a 1/8" black phono plug attached to a black cable on the back of the AVIC.

Well actually I did not find it because it was located on the connector2 of the avic along with the rear view cam input. this connector was still in the dusty box in the back of the storage!!![smash](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smashfreak.gif)
hahaha, anyways now it works! soo cool.![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
It was not difficult at all every one can do it if I can. I am just too clumsy![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Im very happy to get my steering control back ! What a joy!
Thx a lot ELBMAN for your quick answer I really appreciate it![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I should have done a DIY but I think by looking at the pictures, people could do it.

I already noticed some weird things... with the speed sensor and reverse sensor.
When I turn on the power position 1 it happends :
the car position on the navi: going forward so fast ! like I was going 100 mph(the gear is on neutral).
when I put reverse(when the unit was wired) it goes backward at the same speed![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
If I turn to position 2 everything is normal. oh well it might just be a bug with manual trany.
Now the thing is I don't know how to hook the parking break wire... without picture. I might wana search fot the 2 wire ground technique... wish me luck hahaha

Just ground the parking brake wire (green if I remember correctly) and then move an unused wire from another connector (I used the yellow "mute" wire) to the bottom right of connector 2.

and then if your z2 is pre-june 2007 then you need to update it for the 2wire bypass to work. you can get the file here:

Now as a lazy boy, I wonder if there is already a ground wire in the dash or on the MB harness. My green wire already runs allthe way to the pedals. I don't really wanna do the same thing with the second wire on the connector2.
Btw, if you had the same bug, can you tell me if you can use the phone button on the steering to call via bluetooth? thx

bypass was successful.
Flashing with bluetooth update for model pre-Jun '06 and ground the 2 wires.
By the way the groung wire in the dash near the parking brake pedal is the black one. (I've read somewhere "ground=dirt=brown").![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)
Next work? ... maybe convenience light over the pedals ...

Yeah, thx, I was reading this thread, and the P brake wire is green.

For the 2004, the one you want is the 131. Search a little more next time though, the info is available here under several other threads. Good luck, and hopefully it won't be too expensive from ebay.
