05 C230 Aluminum Trim Dents Easily
I see a few other posts about folks complaining about the aluminum trim denting easily. The 05 C230 I just bought has about 50 small dents in the driver's door trim - looks like someone tapped a ring or pen into it over and over. I would like to replace just this piece. Has anyone out there done this? Was it hard? What was the cost? Thanks.

Yes, I am talking about the interior door trim on a 2005. (I actually own a 2003 C230 and a 2005 C230). It is the 2005 that I am interested in replacing the aluminum trim panel on the interior of the door. It is a rather small trim panel, and there is probably some way to replace it without having to replace the entire door panel.

I downgraded to a VW, it's still German though
Anything can be replaced. Go ask your dealer for parts. I need a new inside door lever because it is all dinged up from somebody's ring; or maybe I should get married and wear ring and not worry about it. Either way the metal trim in these cars is like paper. Low quality paper.
