i kn ow the guy who makes the replicas on ebay. most of there wheels only come in 18 or 19. the mono 6 only in 18. sorry. you don't want to 17 anyways, cuz the center cap size on the 17's are too small for your mb caps. i know cuz i had a set of 17's (mono 5).

Just talked to Jerry. He quoted $275 + ship for polished ones.

Was your $175 for the painted ones?

same quality as original brabus? im assuming not the same, but not much of a difference, i guess the price can probably tell you that the quality isnt as high, if i were you i would just stick to the original ones, just my two cents.

woops
sorry, it was a typo. He also quoted me at 275. The wheels weigh 30 pounds tho. Pretty hefty but not so heavy compared to the original one. I'd say the replicas are pretty good quality. The brabus ones are also heavy and looks 90 percent identical to the replica. I think they're a good deal. I heard that the factory who made these are the same with those who made konig wheels. Brabus don't make their own wheels anyway.

can anyone clarify this that the replicas are made by the company who makes Konig wheels?

the wheel manufacturer for Brabus is Ronal, if I'm not mistaken. I recall seeing them when i took the wheels off to wash..

The real wheels are usually 2 or 3 piece, the knockoffs are cheaper 1 piece wheels. A good knock off company down the street from Ronal is Rondell (http://www.rondell.de). They have a good reputation. I don't think they make a Brabus VI knock off. Typically the sell for about $850-950/set on ebay.

sorry if this sounds dumb, but Brabus makes 1piece wheels as well, and from what you're saying Ronal 'does' make Brabus wheels, and Rondell makes the replica wheels?? and there have been a few monoblock VI replicas on eBay. not trying to start any flames, just want to throw in my thoughts.

here is a listing from the other brands that Ronal manufactures wheels for...

Yes, you are correct, Brabus does make that wheel in a 1 piece and 2 piece but the picture at the start of this post was the 2 piece as the true 1 piece doesn't have screws on the perimeter. What I'm saying is that many knockoffs pretend to look like the 2 piece and instead are one piece with fake screw heads. And while Ronal makes many tuner wheels, who's to say that the wheel we are talking about, the VI is made by Ronal. I'm only saying that Ronal makes Brabus wheels, don't know if they make all Brabus wheels.

As far as Rondell, they make wheels that look very similar to AMG/Brabus/Carlsson wheels but say Rondell on them where the tuner name would have gone. Since Rondell is a brand in it's own right, the wheels made by Rondell are usually advertised that way on ebay along with the tuner wheel name it resembles.

I ever saw this exact car when I went to Rusnak Pasadena a couple weeks ago
this car is a C32 AMG
the front bodykit is Brabus bodykit, but he kept the original AMG side skirt and rear side skirt and AMG muffler as well
the deck spoiler is Carlsson CRS spoiler

I don't remember the brand of the tires he is using, but I'm pretty sure the sizes are 235/35/19 for the front and 265/30/19 for the rear

I just talked to the guy in CA and he says they are being imported from TAIWAN. Do you who makes them or do you know the US distributor?. How, since your sig shows you to be in TX? Can you negotiate a price break for members from this forum?

Guess where Jerry gets his replicas from? If you want to pay him more or go directly to the source and save some money is your choice. Remember what Buell said on here a while back about porterhouse brakepads and Jerry's involvement.
