Im interested to know if you can disable the sidemarkers too.

Right now i have the bulbs just hanging inside the bumper. My driver side burnt out like 3 times in a month, but then i moved it to a different area and its ok now..

Does anyone know if dummy bulbs can be used as a replacement for the sidemarker lights?

+1 on the tin foil . . . why waste money on dummy bulbs if you don't see them anyways

Please note that the last four digits of the part numbers (9197) represent the paint color of my car (obsidian black) and you must have your dealer substitute your four-digit exterior paint code if your car is not black. Each side costs $71 and they install quite easily. Just pry out the side closest to the grill and the other end simply slides out sideways.
Does anyone know what the variant would be for 040 Black?

Seems like a less expensive option than the Lorinser from evosport.

Don't waste your time with those. Contact Gary@Suvneer; he sells impact strips for $50 shipped. You just need to paint them yourself but for the price, fitment and quality is amazing.

I PM'd him earlier - no response yet. I'm sure he's a busy guy.

So how easy/hard are these to install? I'll be ordering a pair next week, would like to know what I gotta do ahead of time.

I got the matching MB spray paint to match the color of my ride so that's step 1 out of the way.

Any input appreciated.

Found the answers to all my questions in this thread, duh. Kind of both upset and happy at the same time that I don't have the parktronic feature.

But then again that would set me back plus at least another $100 - so more happy than upset.

So to my understanding - this is the best way to get a pair of these on your ride:

1.) PM Gary@Suvneer and get a pair for $50 - do they come with the chrome linings?
2.) Take the amber marker out then remove the plastic strips.
3.) Pop the new euroimpact strips in and that's a wrap.

Am I missing anything here folks?

I think that's step 4, and Step 3 is covering the old lights with aluminum foil and find some way to keep them from just dangling inside the fenders.

I think you could probably do it with some zip ties and some adhesive zip tie mounts.

Yes, absolutely, I did forget to include that part, gotta remember cover those bulbs in aluminum foil and find a way to mount them somewhere.

But besides that it's pretty much a piece of cake if you don't have the parktronic feature.

@ao125 - did you already order a set by any chance?

I have the email from Gary... I just need to place the order. Fiancee's car got towed out of our apartment complex (which is some $h!t) and I might need to put $125 cash towards that.

Damn, that sux dude - good luck with that.

I'll post up if I end up getting a set before you do, and if you can do the same vice versa then plus1.

They come with the chrome strips. Just be careful with putting on the impact strip; I've heard of the clip breaking. You can also either foil wrap the bulb or take it off and disable the side marker via STAR diagnostic.
