Ventilated Center Storage
My oh so wonderful 'Tech Novel (FM)' on page 147 mentions something about a ventilated (heat/cool) storage compartment under the armrest.
Anybody out there have this?
The only thing I got in mine is covered up wasted space for Teleaid/phone equipment. Is virtually worthless with all that plastic covering.

But now I want a separate control for that fan.

I think there are two things here - C320 (and C32) owners get a rear-seat adjustable AC vent with a control for the fan.
Others get a a AC compartment with a control to limit the incoming air (although I haven't actually seen this with my own eyes)
It is too bad the compartment is basically unusable for storage in the C320 and C32

MY2001 C320
Not for MY2001 C320
My C320 doesn't have that fan unit, so I have a decent centre storage box with heat/cool ventilation.
Of course, there is still the air vent for rear passengers.

QQQ, that's like mine, too. It works fine on my car, but I can see that it's pretty useless on the 2002 and later cars where the compartment is stuffed full with the fan unit. Apparently MB hasn't eliminated the ventialtion door and lever for those units equipped with the fan.
