Hi guys...
As I was pondering the mystery of why the vanity lights wouldn't light when the vanity mirror is opened, I also discovered that the cigar lighter didn't work... so I fuse hunt... list says "47" for both so I check fuse 47... nada... it looks good. Anyone have any experience as to a hidden circuit breaker on this circuit or am I left with a rabbit hunt for loose electrical connection? If anyone has any input, greatly appreciated

Resist the temptation to link 2 possibly unlinked events.
The vanity mirrors function can easily be impaired by not seating the
visor properly as there is an electrical connection in the attachment point.
The cigarette lighter, has it's own fuse.
Did you check it?
If it's ok, it's entirely possible its the lighter connector.
They tend to go bad, easily damaged by accessories pulgged into it.
Also falling debris if it's not plugged in.
I have mine replaced twice.
Get a voltmeter and check it.

Cool, C230... thanks for the tips. If I short the springs at the attachment, I do get light, so the prob is below that... not fuse or wiring. And the socket of the lighter is hot, so I guess the element is out.... eh, c'est la vie. Thanks, man, for your help.
