The owner's manual for my 2002 C240 has an "Audio system tone level selection" section on page 179. It states that by pressing the "AUD" key and then the "EXT" key you may select tone level settings for Driver, Speech, and Ambience. When I press the "AUD" key I only get to manual settings for bass, treble, fade, and balance. Am I doing something wrong? Is the owner's manual incorrect? Defective head unit? Any suggestions?

BTW, I've had the car for 13 months and except for an axle problem the day after I took delivery, it's been 100% trouble free! Not even a squeak or rattle. I love this car!

 

I believe those instructions are for those who have the BOSE system installed in their cars. If you have the same non-BOSE as I do, you can only adjust for bass, treble, f/r fade, r/l balance.

 

yep true although dont worry you guys aren't missing much.....i keep mine on ambience but the other two are crap. my home theater RCA (cheapo) DSP and BMW DSP's sound so much better....cant wait for my audio 10 to be installed.

 

Hola soy de Uruguay y un cliente tiene un C240 se quedo sin sonido, prende dice no tener cd busca bien el tuner pero no sale sonido! al accionar la tecla de vol no hace nada sin embargo si seleccionas el audio si regula bass treble y demas que puede ser? busque en el maletero y no tiene amplificador probe remover el fusible 64 y siguio igual el fusible 26 no lo tiene ( ya que no tiene emplificador creo) del mando de volante tampoco sube volumen ayuda!!!
