I've been looking at a few online parts stores and I can't seem to find just the ball joints. I need the front driver side lower ball joint. It looks like I have to purchase the entire control arm as the ball joint is included there? Is this correct?

I assume the dealers offer them but what price do they go for?

$150-200 CND if I remember correctly.

Replacing the whole arm is easy, plus you'll replace the bushing at the same time which will probably need replacing soon anyways.

Its about an hour to install and then you need an alignment, so about $300-400 total to fix.

Makes sense...I might as well replace the control arm to get a new bushing as well. Thanks Mckay.

Ball joint are typically rivetted and sometimes pressed into the control arm making it out of scope for many DIY. If you want genuine MB parts at a discount, there's some online dealers like Duval Motors (link on my website) or some people like this place (http://www.oempartsdirect.com/). It's funny that neither of their website seem to be working right now but call them and tell them you want the internet price. Also check some OEM places, like autohausaz.com, they get the same part from the same supplier as MB but without the blue box and many times they are much cheaper, sometimes not.
