unusual paint color; good or bad?
I've got a c240 and a whole bunch of parts to install and paint. Since I will need to paint both bumpers, side skirts, spoiler, front grille, front fenders and do a few touch ups (and possibly shave the hood emblem), I was wondering if I should repaint the whole car, change color and go for something out of the ordinary to make it totally unique or... just paint the new parts in the same midnight blue as the whole car.
I tried to search for pictures of w203s in unusual colors with no big success. So instead, I tried to imagine it would look in lime green, baby blue or orange and after a while of hard thinking about it, thought it could be pretty interesting; but not 100% convinced. (Photoshop is neither the answer) I think you need to see it live, on the street to be able to appreciate it or not.
...so here's the real question: Do you think a color such as lime green or baby blue would look too ricey? (considering the fact that there will be a lot of after market parts all around and black roof)
I'm also looking for a front Rieger bumper (not lip) if anyone has one for sale or knows where to find good deals on this, please let me know... I saw you guys did this in the past... another group purchase?

Get someone to photoshop it.
There's a 2-tone coupe that looks good.
There's a widebody sedan in bright blue that looked great (its been painted black).
There's a few dark purple sedans (ewww).
Citron Green looked good on the coupes, won't look good on the sedans.
I'd say away from baby blue or lime green on the sedan. Pastel/light colours don't do the bigger cars justice. Go with something darker or brighter.

I'm not a big fan of the Maybach 2 color themes.. I think it looks outdated, as if it was pulled from the '70s.
w203 widebody?? Is it a kit or DIY?? Anyone has pictures? mckay, where can I see the cars you are refering to?

What color is the interior? Are you changing that too? Monster the car and go with a candy orange or lime over gold metalflake. Ghost in a graphic of the tri-star on the roof (black on black)

the interior is tan
I thought about a very flaky metallic carbon. But I would like to have something that looks very unusual for a benz. The BMW M3 blue could also be an interesting option.
Why did mckay got banned?

You're kidding right? Of course it would look, "ricey" but so what. If you like it do it. There's guy on the forum with a coupe hatchback that's the stock colored lime green.

I was considering to paint my Coupe in Ferrari's 360 yellow when I did my respray but in the end I just decided to stick with silver. If you ever have to repaint section of the car it will be very difficult to match the paint 100%.

Yeah, that's what scares me the most... Althought I guess good bodyshops would be able to match it if I ever have to...
