Ok, I just went and took a picture for you. I only had my camera phone. It is too cold to go back out.
That's a 10" JL. Both my amps as well as my component boxes are all under there. I don't know why so many people kill their whole trunk with those big boxes. Maybe they want to keep their spare.

I got 2 JL10W6 V2 in a custom bandpass 3 chambers box. ported box 2.6cuft and sealed box 0.7 cuft each.
a little note about these subs. They sound great...very nice and deep. however, a friend's JBL P1022 10" in similar box packed a lot more punch than my JL. I still love the sound of my JL though, may be its time to move to 12W7???

2003 C240
I used to have a 97 chevy blazer, and at one point in time I had 3 10" MTX thunder subs and I was using an Xtant amp. I love the way 3 10s sound...I would like to maybe go back to that, maybe with a different brand or something.
It doesn't seem like those subs are taking up too much space in your trunks...I mean you obviously can't pack 5 people's suitcases, but you can fit a couple suitcases and/or maybe a few bags. I'd be happy with that.
How can I figure out the size of my component speakers? I have 2003 C240 Non-Bose.

If you don't carry passenger, forget the rear speaker, splash the money for nice front split. Xtant amps are extremely nice, if u still have them use them again. If you not planning to build enclosure like raklert (having a port thorugh ski port) then i suggest you take the factory woofer in the rear deck to allow some bass into the cabin (assuming you have one). You can also reinforce the rear deck while at it. This rear deck is the weakest link for the rattling bit, i end up wedging a pillow against the rear window.

It's ok for my Ears (the backseats can fall down, so the bass can "enter" the interior "ad lib" when i need it) (the amplifier is tuned by my friend, electrician, he changed a lot of things inside).

This is my subs and amp on my C32...
Still enough room to place a luggage.. haha
the amp is hidden behind the box. can get access to it when seats are down
Subs are Memphis subs, 2x10
Amp is from Memphis audio too...

I really don't want to have the big box and stuff, but is there any other option to put some 'louder' speakers in the car - without changing the amp or adding subs? I don't want to be heard from a block away, I just don't want the speakers to distort.
Also, random question but how do you fold the seats? I think my seats should be able to fold (I have the 'cold-weather package' -- headlight washers, heated seats, etc.)??
