Man, I've been somewhat MIA and I come back to threads like this?

Has nobody been teaching the newbs how to STFF?

Anyhow, my car is slow. Don't listen to mig888. He has no clue what he's talking about. The m271 can't make any extra power at all.

In fact, prove that you have the money to spend first, before the vets keep spoon feeding you information you could've searched for in the first place.

M271 Secret Fix

All c230's with M271's have a secret fix for extra HP Gain. This does not apply to the M111.

You'll need a flat head screwdriver, torx bit socket set, and one philips screwdriver, preferably 60mm. All of these items can be bought at Wal-Mart.

Jack up the car on it's left side. It's MUCH easier if you have one of those things that garages have, they lift the car up off the ground completely, don't know what it's called, but I've seen them before, like when I went to get my car inspected, they put it on one of those things, and my car was off the ground

...anyways, get underneath the car. To the right of your exhaust there is a square covering, held on by torx screws. Remove the torx screws. Then, you have to push the covering up and towards the rear of the car, this will cause the covering to come out. Put your hand inside the opening. There is a fat kid in there. Remove him.

Now you can hit 60 in 5.8 seconds...

Let us know how it goes...

I heard from a guy with an Audi that if you port and polish your engine it helps gain a lot of HP. What you do is:

1. Buy a 5 LB. bag of fine grain sand from WalMart (this is important that it's from WalMart)

2. Open your airbox, remove the engine filter, and turn the engine on.

3. Now you open the bag of sand and slowly pour the sand through the airbox until it all gets sucked through the hose.

4. After the sand is all sucked in make sure you put a bucket at the exhaust tips to catch the excess sand from the engine porting.

5. When all the sand is in the bucket you can put the filter back on and close up the airbox.

This will give you approx. 15-20HP!!

I heard about that too. It made me feel so inclined to go to Miami Beach, and pull up to every sand castle, revving my engine to its limits, sucking in all that fresh sand, hoping my car would become a BEAST!

And yes, WalMart has all the quality tools we need for these fixes. Especially the sand, fine grain...

C230k coupe 500sec convertible
i have all the bolt on mods available (except the segmiester porting) as well as the lower gear ratio in the rear

1. buy a 2002 m111 (MANUAL TRANSMISSION)
2. kleemann pullys
3. k&n or green filter
4. supersprint header
5. catco high flow cat
6. eisenmann exhaust
7. ECU remap (????)
8. lower gear ratio in differential (kep a spare differential when it goes)
9. steigmiester porting on the supercharger
10. enjoy the ride

or.... buy a big *** turbo and put it on the m111 and bend over (payment for mods)
I drove the wrx wanna be coupe with the turbo here in FL and I couldn't keep the rear tires on the road

as others have said---am sorry to say but the M271 is not so tunable and if you search you will find why it is so inconvenient

I say make it as fast as monetarily possible, just to sprint with in times of need, then kick back and mod to look good going around corners ;D. It's time to cruise these babies.

Wasn't this on the recall list? Might be better to have the dealer do it. If you do it yourself, there's a chance you might lose your fingers or your entire hand. I hear those things get really really hungry.

I don't think I've heard of that one. Is that for HP gain or another recall?

so if this is a recall and i take it to the dealer will i get my car back goin 0-60 in 5.8 sec. for some reason every time i get my car back from the dealer for recall work it is noticeably slower. and if it does make it go 0-60 in 5.8 sec. how come more people haven't done too much talking about it. and as the other guy said how it will cut ur hand, y is that, isn't the car supposed to be off when u do that? btw if i do this and i take my car into the dealer, wont the eventually see it and void my warranty?

Wouldn't it be easier to extend the air intake hose and simply vacuum the sand out of the carpet?

about that sand in the intake is that legit, because i don't want to do something to my car then have it not work, and not even be able to take it to the dealer to have it fixed. if i do try putting sand in my intake wont the sand harm my engine, and how exactly does it work and what does it do to my engine. i read what to do, but i don't want to do anything to my car without some more info. on the topic. and if i do it and i am faced with some problems wont something like that void my warrenty? im looking for some helpful knowledge and maybe some advice.

Bro, please tell me your not that gullible!

I hear you can flush your car out with water too. Just hook your garden hose up to your dip stick hole.

hoes for hp

You can always use the old hot-rodders trick of having a skanky bikini clad chick sit on the hood. Its hard to quantify how much actuall HP this adds, but top speed gains are usually substantial.

so i was wondering what the square covering is actually covering, and what exactly is this "fat kid" that we are removing, and what is it used for? and i was also wondering what exactly does it do, and how risky it is for my car and my hand. if any one knows any information on this procedure i would be greatly appreciative to receive some.
