Noob with a few question.....
I am new to the forum but not the car world and have a few questions. I have done some searching but have not found a clear answer. I am not new to German cars, just MB.
I am looking at picking up a 03-05 C230K Sedan.
What years are best/better than others? Why? Should I shoot for a 01-02?
What mods are out there? What HP can I expect? Link?
I will do most of the maint myself unless it HAS to go to the dealer. With buy parts of the net how is the maint cost? Reliability?
What are the max size wheels you can run?
I am open to any advice/comments. I am starting a new job and will be looking to pick one up within a month or so. I will be buying it through Manheim so I should be able to pick one up fairly cheap.

2001 to 2004.5 is prefacelift , 2004.5 to 2007 is facelifted. If you are looking for power, a c230 kompressor is not what your looking for. There's not much power you can squeeze out. The max sized wheels I've seen without rubbing issues are stag setup 19x8.5 front 9.5 rear with curved sidewall tires. But I have seen sedans sitting on 20s.
If I were you, I'd look for a facelifted c320 for moddding purposes and a c350 for stock power purposes.
But then again, if your looking for a car with multiple mods to choose from, a MB is not what your looking for. Hope I helped

05 C240, don't even think about the c240 unless you want 168hp.
