Anyone know of a vendor that can make the Mercedes Benz lettering to fit the '05 and newer Sport front calipers? I ordered some from Xenonmods on line and the ones he sent were too long to work. I've sent about 20 e-mails to him, Rich Calnan, and at one time he said that he would try to make them but thought he would have a hard time cutting letters that small and weeding out the waste. Last e-mail I got was on Dec. 12th and now he has dissapeared and won't answer my messages.

I'm tired of looking at my naked silver calipers! Can anyone help?

If you are thinking about ordering decals from them, please make sure that they will fit before you send cash. Their web site is Xenonmods.com and list the Mercedes as a standard item, but they are almost 4" long and need to be around 3 3/16". The letters are almost 3/4" tall and need to be around 3/8", so be carefull. They don't list a phone # or I would be calling every day to either get my money back or the right decals.

Still no reply from Xenonmods.com after 20, yep 20, e-mail messages. Great way to run a business, huh?

I ended up putting the AMG stickers on even though they are too big and I don't want to pose as a C32 but I had to get something on them. Easy enough to change once I find something that fits.

i think he bought the MB ones that specify they dont fit.. now to give the benefit of doubt to either party that way im neutral here

1st. maybe you ordered the wrong decals? and didnt read the fine print specs.

2nd. maybe you ordered what were suppossed to be the right decals. and he then proceeded to update his website with the new information he received from you and just ignored your butt!

Is it possible to cut and paste just the "MERCEDES" part, leaving out the "BENZ"

 

I don't like that idea. I would suggest finding the right size instead of cutting it.

 

I bought the same decals from xenonmods, but when they didn't fit I ordered the "Brembo" decals and put those on instead since the calipers really are made by Brembo...not Mercedes or AMG.

 

Yes, those are the ones I bought and no I did not read the fine print seeing that they are 4" long. I should have done more research before buying, but the fact that he made custom sized ///M logos for my BMW lead me to believe that he could make the Mercedes lettering any size that he wants. We had a number of e-mail exchanges and he in fact said that he would do whatever it took to fix the problem and was going to put some in his next batch to cut back on Dec. 12th. I have since sent message after message requesting an update with no response so I can only assume that he has found that he can't do what he thought and has bailed.

Pretty much any MBZ decal that he offers will NOT fit the '05 or newer sport calipers as the flat area between the bolts is 3 3/16" x 5/8". The factory letters are 3/8" high and are centered in that area.

Like I said earlier, I will live with the AMG decals that I also bought from him until I can find something that fits, but I will also keep sending him messages until I either get a reply or arthritis from typing. If he would just come back and say that he tried and it does not work or go blow it up my *** or something, I would be content to move on. Having owned three businesses I just get peeved when I see someone run their business with little care for the consumer. Just means he probably won't be around very long.
