killer pothole in riverside
so on friday i just picked up my homegirl and were heading over to another friends house to hang out. i was going down Iowa between MLK and University. if any of you have ever been in this area then you know how dark it can get. to my dismay while heading down this road i encountered a KILLER pothole about the diameter of a basketball and about 6-7 inches down. right when i hit this pothole i instantly knew that something happened to my left front wheel. walked out and there it was, a bent rim! arghhh!
sidenote-i contacted riverside city hall and requested a claim form. hope this goes through..

you really can't sue, but sometimes you could get some kind of compensation, yes they MAY issue a check. Go back there and take some pictures BEFORE they fill it up. If you want to get paid, you're gonna have to work for it. Talk to the City (or County, depends on jurisdiction) Public Works Department, and see what they can do. Take pictures of your bent wheel (and possibly damaged tire) and a recipt or written estimate of the value of the wheel (and tire) or an ad showing the value of your property, so they can estimate how much (if they will) to reimburse you. If there is an ongoing construction at the area, take that into consideration too, some contractors will pay up, if you can show it was some type of negligence (unfilled trench). iowa between mlk and university is soo ****ty I always drive with causion. the road got worse every year because of the construction on the freeway which the traffic are routed to iowa a lot.

tell me about it. i went out like 30 minutes ago to take a couple photos of the pothole. looking at the pothole in person and looking at the picture, it definitely looks like negligence. its more like a trench than a pothole!

damn... did you get those wheels on ebay?
potholes are waaack i was gonna go after the government but i never bothered... o well but yea my boy was in his e46 m3 and hit a pothole sooo big that his side airbag came out the one next to the windshield. at first i didnt believe him but than i saw his car. thank god nothing happend to him but yea potholes suck and they needa fix that asap

that's crazy, he should file a claim form freals!
