Jay, more bad news.... MP Design does make a wood kit for your car, although we have tried many times to get them to do it in Carbon Fiber and they will not budge. We once tried to special order one, but after many months they gave up.

The good news is, we are still doing the carbon fiber front lip for your car! and it will be priced cheap compared to everything else out there.

Does that mean no more CF trim kits are available now?

 

They would need to be ordered from Germany and will take a few months.

 

hey neal, can you tell me why in all these kits i see online for the pre-facelift w203, that they are missing the cupholder covers?



what i mean is that piece that rolls up over the cupholder when it isn't in use. so if someone was to get this kit, would they have to use the stock wood cover?

 

They do not make that particular part in carbon for that car. Although what i would do is get the regular black one from the C32 and use it so it matches.

05 and up w203's no longer have the rolling cupholder cover because they feature a redesigned cupholder that's a bit more sturdier but not as flashy as the pre-facelift w203's.

 

When are you going to install it?

I installed the middle pieces of my kit, just waiting on warmer weather to do the door pieces

 

DIY, at least, that's what I hope. Middle section won't be terrible. I'll have some help from the guys here in SoCal too!

you should see all the damn stickers on the box. big "MADE IN GERMANY" written on it too. I was just thinking to myself, "for something that's supposed to be stronger than steel, they're sure protective about it"

i know that, i was talking about the kit for the prefacelifts. every cf trim kit i've seen does not include the roller panel

 

cuz they assume anyone that buys the CF kit had the Avantgarde trims to begin with which has the black cover with chrome insert.

 

it's pimpin. could've done your trims a lot faster if I could've helped out. but cleaning off the old adhesive residue on my trunk was I wanted to smack someone.

better post up your advanture today in a nice long tread. lol the ECU tune is all the way.

SERIOUSLY!!! First - HUGE thanks goes out to mig888, MJ50 and FrankW last night. There is no doubt in my mind that I wouldn't have been able to get this install done without your help.

With that out of the way, the CF looks amazing in sunlight. We had some minor install issues but nothing that was a showstopper. I don't have a camera with me on my trip so everyone is going to have to wait for pics.
