Quote: very interesting, actually i think ur little add on makes it look way better.

But do u think, the painted part to be black/gray or CF wrap?
I take the symmetric approach. Is the rear wing cf? If so, I say go with a cf hood, but it may look odd with a black grill, so you may want to carry the cf over onto the grill too. If not, go black to match your wheels, rear wing, grill and pano roof.
Same thing with the chrome trim on the grill. Is there any other chrome trim on the car? If so, leave it on the grill. If not, delete it.

You got pics? Post them up. I did the same and then ripped them off. It looked cheap.

***Real CF is better.

I vote no. CF hoods are meant to be made with louvers! if its vorsteiner type I would vote yes. but this is a CF stock hood!

I thought they were made to save weight? But now that you mention it, all of the BMW's I see with cf hoods do have louvers. I always thought that louvers were to help evacuate heat, not really anything to do with the cf construction.

I really like how it looks with the red line and chrome strip blacked out. If you're considering CF overlay, I say skip that idea and just paint the hood gloss black instead so it matches better with your roof. Make sure to extend the red stripe to include the roof and little trunk area as well, but paint the trunk piece gloss black so it flows from front to back.

Similar, but different. You could always use a different color stripe than red. I'm thinking a grey color that's a few shades lighter than black but darker than your car. The black/silver just looks too plain IMO.

This is SICK but is missing red elsewhere, Like a time attack. If that was their the red on the hood would be justified and appealing.

Otherwise, This is sexy

Wrapped CF hood FTL. That's about as useless as putting a Kompressor badge on a C320.

If you do that, don't forget to have the top of your hatch painted the same gloss black so the theme flows front to back.

whether wrapped or just a straight cf hood, i doubt it will make much of a difference performance wise anyways, itll be like a guy who is 20 pounds heavier than me driving my car lol
