Wow, that is so cool, imagine telling people you have close to a million miles on a C class, that will show JD Powers and Consumer Reports how reliable a C can be.

As it just so happens, I was reading about instrument panels in the
Service DVD.
You have to get someone with a star diag to set the correct miles for you.
ie a dealer, or indy who's got the computer.

True then you can sell it and advertise as very low mileage. Or slightly used but never driven. That should hike up the resale value.

You can take it in to the dealer and they can initial start the cluster via SDS and manually input the milage.

1993 Mercedes 300e 4-matic (m103 motor)
a mercedes transmission holding up to 1 million miles. I just checked my pulse. My moms 07 c280's tranny made it 15k miles, and my car is about ready to be changed at 200k. congrats whats your secret?

How did you afford gas i mean driving 400 miles a day aevery day for the last 7 years?

Check this out with Sunman; but I think when you swap a cluster, the donor must have less than 9000 miles on it - or buy a new cluster to use as the donor. I read that somewhere but cannot remember where I saw it - then again it might be the Fosters playing tricks on me.

That won't work, because imagine if he rolls over 1m and someone flips his dash from miles to km and wonders why it says 609000km...

Yeah, I would suggest running to the dealership to get the High Mileage awards, all 3 of 'em
