I had read somewhere that it was a new or revamped version of the old manual so I wanted to make sure. I have become very unhappy with how mine shifts and the dealer does not seem to care but I have a feeling they have not seen many manuals

The transition from first to second is extremely rough and sloppy. My 4 speed 81 vette shifted much better and a late model accord I drove the other day. Just kind of irritating.

I have a manual as well and I do have to agree from 1st to 2nd is kinda of irritating. The gear ratio is way too short to get the most out of the 1st gear.
